How to Play
Type a 5-letter word with your keyboard or the on-screen keys and press Enter. Green tiles mean the letter is correct and in the right spot; gold tiles mean the letter is in the word but in a different spot; dark tiles mean the letter isn't in the word at all. Pick a difficulty before you start: Easy gives you 7 tries at 0.6x points, Normal 6 tries at full points, and Hard 5 tries at 1.6x — Hard also forces you to reuse every letter you've already revealed. The daily puzzle is the same word for every player and you get one attempt at it, but Play Again deals a fresh random word as often as you like. Fewer guesses scores more, and every round adds to your running session total — that total is what goes to the leaderboard, so a longer session is worth more.
Tips
- Open with a word that has common, distinct letters (varied vowels, no repeats) — it gives you the most information for your remaining guesses.
- A gold tile means the letter's in the word but the wrong spot — try it in a different position next guess rather than dropping it entirely.
- Keep a mental note of letters you've ruled out (dark tiles) so you don't waste a guess repeating a letter that's already confirmed absent.
- Your leaderboard score is the whole session added up, not one puzzle — so keep playing extra rounds rather than stopping after the daily.
- Hard pays 1.6x and only costs you one guess, but it also blocks any guess that ignores a letter you've already revealed — worth it once you're solving in three or four.
