No accounts, no personal data

Elipar doesn't have user accounts, sign-ups, or logins. We don't ask for your name, email, or any personal information to play a game.

What's stored in your browser

Favorites, recently played games, and any saved high scores are stored using your browser's local storage, on your device only. This data is never sent to our servers — it stays with you, and clearing your browser data removes it. If you use the site as an installed app (PWA), some game files are also cached locally so they keep working offline.

Leaderboards

A few games have an optional public leaderboard. If you choose to submit a score, the nickname you type and that score are sent to our database and shown publicly to other players — this is the only case where anything you enter is stored on a server rather than just your own browser. Don't use your real name if you'd rather not; nothing else about you is collected, and submitting a score is always optional.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate traffic, such as which pages are visited and how often. It's designed to be privacy-friendly and does not use cookies or track you individually across sites. We also use PostHog to see which games get played and finished, so we know what to build more of; this includes standard technical details like your browser and device type, but not your name or any other personal information. If a game crashes or hits an error, we use Sentry to see what went wrong so we can fix it — this can include the page you were on and technical error details, again without any personal information.

We also use Google Analytics to measure how many people visit, which pages and games they open, and roughly where in the world they are. Unlike the tools above, Google Analytics does set cookies on your device to recognise repeat visits, and the data is processed by Google. We do not send it your name, email address, or anything else that identifies you personally. You can opt out across all sites that use it with Google's official opt-out browser add-on, and most ad and tracker blockers block it as well.

Open-source games we host

Every game on Elipar is hosted directly by us — none load from another site. Some are open-source games originally created by other developers, always credited as "source" on that game's page and used under their own licenses. Because we host them ourselves, playing one sends no data to any outside site.

Advertising

Elipar may show ads to help keep the site free, using a third-party ad network such as Google AdSense. Ad networks may use cookies or similar technologies to show relevant ads. We'll update this page with specifics once ads are active on the site.

Affiliate links

Some blog posts include affiliate links, such as Amazon Associates links. If you click one and make a purchase, Elipar may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are marked as such near where they appear.

Children's privacy

Some games on Elipar are suitable for kids, but the site itself does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, regardless of age.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the site changes. Continued use of Elipar after an update means you accept the revised policy.

We use cookies to keep games running and, once ads are live, to show relevant content. See our Privacy Policy for details.
