How to Play

Tap one of your red pieces to select it — legal destinations light up with a dot. Tap a destination to move. If a capture is available anywhere on the board, you must take it (and if that piece can keep jumping, the whole chain is mandatory too). Get a piece to the far row to king it, giving it backward moves as well. Win by capturing every AI piece or leaving the AI with no legal move.

Tips

  • Captures are mandatory for both sides, so before you move a piece, check whether moving it *away* from a diagonal opens up a capture on one of your other pieces that you're now forced to take.
  • A multi-jump chain is one move, not several — line up a capture that lands your piece in position to immediately jump again, since the AI will do the same to you if you leave a chain like that open.
  • Kings can move and capture backward, which makes them far more dangerous defensively — trading to get a piece kinged is often worth it even at even material, especially late in a game.
  • The AI searches several moves deep, so it will happily offer you a free-looking capture that forces your piece onto a square it can jump from. Before taking any capture, check what square you'll actually land on.
