How to Play

An expression like (3 + 4) × 2 appears with four answer choices — there's no per-question clock, so take as long as you need on each one. Pick the value you think it evaluates to. Whether you're right or wrong, a breakdown panel shows exactly which operation had to happen first and why — brackets in gold, powers in pink, division/multiplication in teal, addition/subtraction in blue, matching the colors in the expression itself. Tap Continue whenever you're ready for the next one. Three wrong answers ends the run, and so does a full hour of play if you haven't lost by then — a small readout in the corner tracks the session. The expressions get harder — brackets, then mixed three-operation expressions, then powers like 5² — the longer your streak runs.

Tips

• The wrong answer options aren't random — they're the exact number you'd get from the most common BODMAS mistake for that expression, like solving left-to-right or forgetting brackets override the usual order. If you got it wrong, that's genuinely the trap to remember for next time.
• Brackets always go first, even inside a bigger expression — solve what's inside the parentheses down to one number before touching anything outside them.
• A squared number means multiply it by itself, not by two — (3 + 4)² is 49, not 14. That mix-up is the single most common Orders mistake this game tests for.
• Division and multiplication are equal rank to each other (so is addition and subtraction) — within those pairs, just work left to right rather than trying to guess which one 'wins'.
