How to Play
Tap a cell, then tap a number on the on-screen keypad to fill it in. Use Pencil mode to jot down candidate numbers in a cell before committing to one, the same way you'd pencil in guesses on a paper puzzle. Work the rows, columns, and boxes that already have the most numbers filled in first — they narrow down the fastest and give you the most certain placements early. A completed puzzle never requires a genuine guess; every empty cell has exactly one number that logically fits once you've eliminated the rest.
Tips
- Work the row, column, or box that already has the most numbers filled in first — it eliminates candidates fastest and narrows the rest of the board.
- Use Pencil mode to note every candidate in a tight cell rather than guessing — a cell with only one possible candidate left is a guaranteed placement.
- If a number's only possible position in a box lines up in a single row or column, you can rule that number out everywhere else on that row or column.
- If two cells in the same row, column, or box share the exact same two candidate numbers, both numbers are locked to those two cells — you can safely remove them as candidates everywhere else in that row, column, or box.
